All FDQ Level 2 Butcher apprentices receive automatic free membership to the respected industry body, the Institute of Meat, once they enrol and purchase their logbook?
For the first time in its 71 year history the Institute of Meat (IoM) has opened its doors to apprentice members.
Membership of the IoM provides a ladder of opportunity for young butchers. The chance to connect and receive guidance from some of the top butchers in the country is just one of the benefits of membership. IoM apprentice butchers (App.Inst.M) are also encouraged to advance their careers through taking part in some of the professional butchery competitions the IoM supports around the world.
